The goal of a Backgammon game is to shift your checkers around the Backgammon board and bear those pieces off the board quicker than your opponent who works just as hard to achieve the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a match of Backgammon requires both tactics and luck. How far you will be able to move your checkers is left to the numbers from tossing the dice, and how you move your chips are determined by your overall gambling plans. Players use a number of tactics in the differing stages of a match depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Technique

The goal of the Running Game plan is to lure all your pieces into your home board and bear them off as fast as you can. This technique focuses on the pace of moving your chips with no efforts to hit or block your competitor’s pieces. The best time to use this tactic is when you think you might be able to move your own pieces quicker than your opponent does: when 1) you have less chips on the game board; 2) all your chips have past your opponent’s chips; or 3) the opposing player does not employ the hitting or blocking tactic.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The primary goal of the blocking strategy, by the name, is to stop the competitor’s checkers, temporarily, while not fretting about moving your chips rapidly. After you have established the blockage for the opponent’s movement with a few chips, you can move your other checkers rapidly from the game board. The player really should also have a good plan when to back off and move the checkers that you utilized for the blockade. The game becomes intriguing when the opposition uses the same blocking strategy.
