The objective of a Backgammon match is to shift your chips around the game board and pull them off the game board quicker than your opposing player who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a round in Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and good luck. Just how far you can shift your checkers is up to the numbers from tossing a pair of dice, and the way you shift your chips are decided on by your overall playing strategies. Enthusiasts use a few techniques in the different stages of a match depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Technique

The aim of the Running Game strategy is to lure all your chips into your inside board and get them off as quick as you could. This tactic focuses on the speed of moving your checkers with absolutely no time spent to hit or block your opponent’s chips. The best scenario to use this tactic is when you believe you can move your own chips quicker than the opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the game board; 2) all your checkers have past your opponent’s chips; or 3) your opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking plan.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The primary goal of the blocking technique, by the title, is to stop your opponent’s pieces, temporarily, while not fretting about moving your pieces quickly. Once you’ve established the barrier for your competitor’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can shift your other pieces rapidly from the game board. The player will need to also have an apparent plan when to extract and shift the pieces that you utilized for the blockade. The game gets interesting when your opponent uses the same blocking tactic.
