The aim of a Backgammon match is to move your pieces around the Backgammon board and bear those pieces from the board faster than your opposing player who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a game in Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and luck. Just how far you can move your chips is up to the numbers from rolling the dice, and the way you shift your checkers are determined by your overall gambling tactics. Players use a few techniques in the different stages of a game dependent on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Plan

The aim of the Running Game plan is to entice all your chips into your inner board and pull them off as quickly as you can. This technique focuses on the speed of moving your chips with little or no time spent to hit or block your opponent’s checkers. The best scenario to employ this technique is when you think you might be able to move your own chips quicker than your opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the board; 2) all your chips have past your competitor’s pieces; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking plan.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The primary goal of the blocking strategy, by its name, is to block your competitor’s chips, temporarily, while not fretting about shifting your pieces quickly. Once you’ve created the blockade for the opponent’s movement with a few chips, you can shift your other pieces rapidly from the board. The player should also have a good strategy when to withdraw and shift the checkers that you used for blocking. The game gets interesting when your opposition uses the same blocking tactic.
