As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a game of talent and good luck. The aim is to shift your pieces safely around the board to your inside board while at the same time your opposition moves their pieces toward their inner board in the opposite direction. With opposing player checkers moving in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for specific tactics at specific instances. Here are the last 2 Backgammon plans to complete your game.
The Priming Game Tactic
If the aim of the blocking tactic is to slow down the opponent to shift her pieces, the Priming Game tactic is to absolutely barricade any movement of the opposing player by constructing a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s pieces will either get hit, or result a damaged position if he/she ever attempts to leave the wall. The ambush of the prime can be setup anyplace between point two and point eleven in your game board. As soon as you have successfully built the prime to prevent the movement of the competitor, the competitor does not even get a chance to toss the dice, and you shift your pieces and toss the dice again. You’ll win the game for sure.
The Back Game Tactic
The aims of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game strategy are similar – to hurt your competitor’s positions hoping to boost your chances of succeeding, but the Back Game technique uses alternate tactics to do that. The Back Game technique is frequently utilized when you are far behind your competitor. To play Backgammon with this plan, you have to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This strategy is more challenging than others to play in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are relocated is partly the result of the dice toss.
