As we dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a game of ability and pure luck. The aim is to move your pieces safely around the board to your home board while at the same time your opposition moves their chips toward their home board in the opposite direction. With opposing player checkers shifting in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the need for specific tactics at particular instances. Here are the last 2 Backgammon strategies to complete your game.
The Priming Game Strategy
If the purpose of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to move her pieces, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely block any activity of the opposing player by creating a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s checkers will either get bumped, or end up in a battered position if he/she ever tries to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be setup anywhere between point 2 and point eleven in your half of the board. Once you have successfully constructed the prime to stop the movement of your opponent, the competitor does not even get a chance to toss the dice, that means you shift your checkers and roll the dice again. You will win the game for sure.
The Back Game Technique
The aims of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game plan are very similar – to harm your opponent’s positions in hope to boost your chances of winning, however the Back Game tactic relies on different tactics to achieve that. The Back Game tactic is frequently used when you are far behind your competitor. To compete in Backgammon with this plan, you have to control two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This strategy is more difficult than others to use in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are relocated is partly the result of the dice toss.
